FR#165 Graham Lambkin & Oliver Perrott-Webb & Sam Bailey

  • Fruitworks Canterbury, England United Kingdom (map)

We are delighted to confirm that 15th March will see Graham Lambkin make a rare return to Kent for a one-off performance at Free Range entitled 'Canterbury: Four Locations/Four Abstractions'.

Graham is a multidisciplinary artist and publisher whose work embraces audio, visual and text-based concerns. His musical works entail a strange sonic ethnography of domestic life, incorporating field recordings, musical appropriations, and electronic interventions into these audio shards of reality. The fabric of daily life and its environmental sound worlds are rendered remote and disjunctive, resulting in both cluttered and desolate soundtracks of existence that are seemingly aleatory and eerily absorbing in their effects.

This piece will consist of field recordings of Canterbury made by Graham on the day of the performance. Graham will use these recordings to create a live collage with local musicians Sam Bailey (piano) and Oliver Perrott-Webb (drums/percussion).
