FR#315 Remember, remember: an alternative bonfire night celebration

  • St Peter's Anglican Church Saint Peter's Street Canterbury, England, CT1 2BQ United Kingdom (map)

Memory can be like physics: the process of observing or remembering can change what is being observed or remembered. This concert for a 7-piece chamber group reflects on this through pieces that speak to the past (the interpretative, notation-based musical tradition is itself a form of memory). One piece is from the composer’s childhood, one was written this year by a 14-year old, another piece is a memory of a memory of a memory.
