FR#310 Treelines

Treeline is a creative musical project connecting communities across Europe to their environments, trees and forests. Composer Graham Fitkin is cycling 2500 miles, working with communities to collect data and record trees from old growth forests from Carpathian Mountains to Epping Forest.

In this performance Graham will play some excerpts from the piece, explain the technology and talk about how he records trees and uses their sounds within the music.

Treeline will take place from 6-7pm at Fruitworks, CT1 2NP on Monday 20th July. Entry is free but booking is essential via: 🎫thegulbenkian.co.uk/events/treeline/

This is a co-promotion with the The Gulbenkian.

Doors for this event open at 7pm. The events begins at 8pm. There will be a short interval. The event is expected to finish by 10pm at the latest. A wide range of refreshment are available throughout the evening from the cafe. Card and cash payment are accepted at the venue. Please note any unclaimed reserved seating will be released at 8.30pm.
